What's Wealth Management have to do with Principle Quest??

on Fri, 2017-09-08 15:31

The 2nd edition of Wealth Management Unwrapped was inspired by my Wall Street relationships over four decades. Early on I discovered clarity on my own principles was essential, and so, for the past five years, the work I'm privileged to do is with women who are Principle Quest-ers, fulfilling my deepest yearnings to make a difference. I owe a great debt of gratitude to many, and these connections are a true treasure of my life! Pictured here signing a book for a pal from Principle Quest, the day before the launch!

Where the Path Might Lead

on Fri, 2016-12-30 14:18

On the grounds here at Bailey Farms last weekend, nine women walked many different paths and joined the 79 women who came before them on a Principle Quest retreat.

No matter our age, all of us seek a clear path, a deep commitment and the support of a loving community.

Thanksgiving reminds us as well of what's important – healing and giving thanks, just as in 1863 when President Lincoln, at the persistent urging of Sarah Hale, signed the proclamation to make Thanksgiving a hational holiday.

May you enjoy a blessed and fun Thanksgiving!

Gathering Explores Competition Versus Collaboration

on Thu, 2015-10-01 12:25

Last month 30 women gathered to explore the question of competition – how, when and why. Questions addressed included: Can you be both a competitor and collaborator? How do you compete – or abdicate? What does it take to 'win?' What lines should not be crossed on the way toward winning? Several women attending were athletes, and in sharing what contributed most to their success, they mentioned focus, discipline and practice, interestingly, identical to what's required for success in any endeavor! Connecting was the ultimate goal of this gathering, and pretense was banned from the evening!

Why We Are Here (at a retreat...or just alive today!)

Why Are We Here?

We are here because there is no refuge

finally from ourselves.

Until a woman confronts herself

in the eyes and hearts of her fellow women

she is running.

Until she shares her secret with them,

she has no safety from it

She can know neither herself nor anyone else.

she will be alone.

Where else but in our common ground

can we find such a mirror?

Here, a woman can at last appear clearly to

herself, not as the giant of her dreams,

nor the dwarf of her fears,

but as a woman, part of a whole,

with a share in its purpose.

In this ground we can each take root and
